Celia Pourgoura is an English qualified lawyer graduated from Southampton University with an LLB qualification in the year 2000.
She then became a Middle Temple Barrister at Law in the year 2001 and in the year 2002 she continued her studies at Kings College of London obtaining an LLM on Commercial and Corporate Law. After her studies in the United Kingdom Celia returned to Cyprus where she became a member of the Cyprus Bar in the year 2003. She has worked in KPMG specializing in commercial and corporate law matters and in trust law and equity. She continued her professional career at other large organisations such as the Marfin Popular Bank and IFG Trust (Cyprus) Limited.
Presently she is a co-owner and director of the law firm CA Advocates (Pourgoura & Aspri LLC). She specialises in subjects such as trust law, corporate and commercial law, anti-money laundering issues, contract law and corporate administration. She speaks Greek and English fluently and she is currently learning Russian.
She has also attended seminars abroad in relation to Commercial and Corporate law as well as Trust law. She is a member of the STEP Society of Trust and Estate Practioners and a member of the International Bar Association. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Ukraine – Cyprus Association, the India – Cyprus Association and the UK – Cyprus Association. She is also the president of the Polish Cyprus Chamber of Commerce.
